No, this program is not accredited by Yoga Alliance for a few reasons.
As a teacher of 14 years, my approach to continuing education has been broader than just yoga. I have focused on becoming a well-rounded movement professional, earning certifications and gaining experience in areas like personal training, holistic biomechanics, Pilates, Reiki, and more. This diverse training has allowed me to integrate a range of perspectives into my teaching, creating a unique approach.
Additionally, I find that Yoga Alliance’s framework doesn’t align with my primary goal: to develop teachers who are truly prepared for the realities of a teaching environment. I prefer to create a curriculum that focuses on practical skills and a deep understanding of movement, which I believe better serves my students in the long run.

No, you don’t need to know every pose, but it’s important to have a solid foundation in yoga. I recommend having at least 6 months of consistent practice and a general understanding of what a flow-based class entails. This training will build on your existing practice, helping you deepen your knowledge and refine your practice.

Vinyasa is the foundation for power yoga. Power yoga requires a solid understanding of the body, how to seamlessly flow from pose to pose, and knowing how to punch it up. If you develop a strong foundation of vinyasa yoga, anatomy, and sequencing, you will quickly learn how to teach power. In the second half of the program, we will dive into more advanced sequencing techniques to help you level up your teaching. And don’t get it twisted—vinyasa yoga can still be very challenging! Throughout the training, we’ll also place a strong emphasis on building core strength, which is important knowledge if teaching power yoga is in your future!
